I was at this fair, was probably the mycologist who said that the black mushroom is Omphalotus. I am going back in a few weeks, this year it is on Aug 15. The fair was a lot of fun and it was great meeting Carlos, who finds the mushrooms!

Cristina -- We have a large variety of wild mushrooms in Oregon -- some of which are now available in grocery stores. But, in one post, you have taught me more than I have learned from my neighbor the mushroom hunter. Blog on!
