Wow, great post! I was so sorry to miss the feria this year. I went last year. After all the tamales and atole, though, time for a siesta.

I wish I read the tip about putting the ooin in the water before I cooked my tameles a week or so ago. Would have avoided "smoking" my tamales!

I read somewhere that the original purpose of tamales was for Aztec warriors to carry into battle as a food source. It might be a good idea that your tamale tour be a walking one.

Jack, the tamales tours are always on foot! That way we can count on a food source to keep us going.
