I live in Dublin, Ireland and although I lived in Mexico from '85-'90 I still never figured out what is a good substitute for romeritos - would purslane do the job? or is there any other suitable vegetable - as purslane is out of season here just now.

Where in Chicago can I purchase fresh romeritos? We always have them for our New Years diner. It would make my mother the happiest person in the world.

I live in Massachusetts and i cant find romeritos in this state, if anybody can tell me where to buy them on line or any store in new york, im willing to go and buy'em, please help!!!

I just found your blog and I am so excited! I live with my Mexican boyfriend, his brother, wife and three children and I am getting introduced to so many Mexican dishes I have never seen or heard of before! I just saw your Tortitas de Camaron with romeritos de jitomate. Just had this last week and it was wonderful! My boyfriend's mother sends up supplies on and his sister or sister in law cook up their favorite. He will only eat his mother's home made mole paste she ships up to us. It is to die for! I look forward to looking at the new and old recipes you have listed! I am slowing learning how to cook real mexican food and marvel at the few ingredients can make such a wonderful dish!
